Almeda Glenn Miller is co-founder of BIG BAD WOLF and teaches Creative Writing and Literature at Selkirk College in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. Her short stories, essays, and poetry have appeared in Prism International, Grain,Dandelion, Event, Shadowbox, Room, and Ploughshares. Her personal essays and short stories have been shortlisted for Western Magazine Awards, National Magazine Awards, and she is the recipient of Event Magazine’s Creative Non-fiction award. She is the author of the novel Tiger Dreams (Raincoast 2002). In previous incarnations, Almeda has been a bookseller, actress, treeplanter, carpenter, and cattle rancher. She has travelled extensively through India, Nepal, Europe and the Middle East and chooses her home base in the West Kootenay of British Columbia.
Her first collection of poetry, begin with the corners, was released by BIG BAD WOLF PRESS in 2014.
